Banking Vietnam 2006 Exhibition to Open in May
With the theme “Technology Modernisation with Vietnamese banking system’s sustainable development”, Banking Vietnam 2006 co-organised by IDG Vietnam, a member of the International Data Group (IDG) and the State Bank of Vietnam - Information Technology Department of the State Bank of Vietnam (ITDB) will take place from 17th to 19th of May 2006 in Hanoi.
According to Mr. Ta Quang Tien, Director of ITDB, the theme was chosen because modernisation is an overall strategy being implemented throughout the innovation process in coordination with sustainable development, ensuring the fast and sustainable growth of Vietnam’s economy.
Banking Vietnam is an annual forum that began in 2002. At Banking Vietnam 2006, there will be international conferences on new policies on banking and telecommunication technology; security measures, internet safety and security and banking data system in the development of global e-commerce and the internet; trends in payment system automation fuelling the economy’s growth; systems applicable to commercial banks’ activities and the rapid development of banking services on the basis of protecting banks’ and consumers’ rights.
The Organisation board estimates that there will be more than 40 speakers who are scientists, managers, specialists and entrepreneurs operating in foreign and domestic economics, banking & finance and telecommunication sectors addressing the conferences and more than 2000 people attending those forums. In addition, there are to be exhibition rooms for banks to introduce modern services and achievements and IT and telecommunication companies to display and make public new technologies, products, measures, equipments, techniques and services for banking system modernisation.
