Vietnam Has 227,000 ADSL Subscribers
Vietnam has so far signed up 227,000 subscribers to the Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) service, a three-fold increase compared with the same period last year, according to Vietnam Network Information Center (VNNIC).
The soar in ADSL subscriptions is attributed to the State’s assistance policy for Internet development, it said. Lower-priced fees and higher transmission quality are also core reasons for the boom in Internet ADSL usage.
Last year, Vietnam had 2.8 million internet subscribers, covering various services such as dial-up. The country expects to attract over 1 million internet subscribers this year.
