Vietnam Pumps US$2.9Bln into Industrial Projects in First Half of 2007

Vietnam injected VND47.14 trillion (US$2.95 billion) into industrial projects in the first half this year, up 10 per cent on-year, fulfilling 39.3 per cent of the yearly target, said the Ministry of Industry (MoI).
 
State-run groups and Corporations 91 still led with realized capital of VND44.8 trillion, followed by Corporations 90 and enterprises VND2.2 trillion, and administrative units VND932 billion.
 
Most of the investment capital was poured into electricity, oil and gas, fertilizer and steel projects, the ministry noted.
 
In the six-month period, Vietnam is estimated to generate total industrial production value of VND275.71 trillion (US$17.23 billion), an on-year rise of 16.9 per cent, the General Statistics Office (GSO) reports. (Capital Security, GSO)
