Dong Nai Licenses Additional Six Projects worth US$340Mln

Southern Dong Nai province on September 14 gave investment licenses to six projects totaling US$340 million by both local and foreign investors, state media reported.

 

The three foreign-invested projects include a US$116.7-million project by the Vietnam Scharffiler Ltd. Co. in Amata industrial park (IP), a US$45-million by the Vietnam YGS Ltd. Co. in Nhon Trach 2 IP and a US$16.9-million project to build a commercial and residential area by the Vietnam Amata Joint Venture.

 

Three domestic investors will pour money into residential area projects with the largest worth over VND1.935 trillion by the Nhon Trach Investment Joint Stock Co, followed by a VND442-billion by the An Nghiep Phat Trading and Housing Development Joint-Stock Company.

 

The Tuong Thanh Housing Trading and Construction Ltd. Co. will carry out a VND200 billion project.

 

So far this year, Dong Nai has granted licenses to 75 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects valued at US$644.7 million and also allowed 67 existing projects to raise their capital by US$336 million, bringing its total FDI to nearly US$10 billion.

 

The province expects to lure US$1.2 billion FDI this year. (Vietnam & World Economy)
