PetroVietnam Expands to Service Operations

Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group (PetroVietnam) will expand its operations into services of hotels, tourism, storages and planes for rent, CEO Dinh La Thang said October 22.
 
The group schedules to start building a five-star hotel with 500 rooms in My Dinh commune, Tu Liem district of Hanoi by this year end.
 
The hotel is part of a 25-hectares complex invested by PetroVietnam to build hotels, 108-floor international trading central twin-tower, green park and entertainment area.
 
Oil and gas production now accounts for 50 per cent-60 per cent of PetroVietnam’s total revenue.
 
In the first nine months, PetroVietnam had produced 16.9 million tons of equivalent oil from 11.9 million tons of crude oil and five billion cubic meters of natural gas, raising its oil reserve to 33 million tons.
 
The group exported a total of 11.65 million tons of crude oil valued at over US$6 billion in the period. (Liberation Saigon)
