Vietnam Rubber Group to Build Big IZ in Northern Vietnam
Geruco Urban and Industrial Zone Development Company under Vietnam Rubber Group will build a industrial zone (IZ) in northern Hai Duong province with an initial capital VND1 trillion (US$62.5 million).
The Viet Hoa IZ, to cover 357 hectares in the first phase and 328 hectares in the second phase, will be located at the two communes of Nam Sach districts of Cong Hoa and Van Duc, the committee said at a recent meeting to announce the detail zoning of the park.
More than 68 per cent of the IZ’s total area will be allocated for factories; meanwhile the rest will be for construction of supporting facilities.
The IZ expected to be built by late this year will be an ideal for investors in the fields of mostly those operating in telecommunications, electric equipments, rubber, plastics, auto and motorbike assembly and IT sectors.
Hai Duong now has seven IZs covering 1,500 hectares. It plans to build 13 new IZs of 2,520ha from now to 2010, after government approval. (Investment)
