Increasing Investment of France into Vietnam

As the result of the 8th ASEAN forum hold in Hanoi, through Agency of French Development (AFD), there will be 282 Euro million of France invested into underground construction project. As expected, 80 percent of work-load of the project will have been accomplished by 2010. At the moment, a French group has singed a investment agreement on project supervising.

Besides, France has committed Vietnam constructing an atomic power plant in Vietnam. At the moment, France has carried out some pre-researches on this project. By 2010, Vietnam will have put the atomic power plant to work.

According to the French Embassy, some French enterprises have made increasing investment iin Vietnam. For example, the Accor Group has invested in the hotel service; the Alcatel-Lucent Group has signed contracts worth at US$32 million with Vietnamese Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT).
