Vietnamese, French Businesses to Meet for Cooperation Opportunities

The French Agency for International Development of French Businesses (Ubifrance) will hold a conference on potential opportunities between Vietnamese and French businesses November 23 in Hanoi, state media said.
 
The event, which coincides with the 8th ASEAN forum, is expected to attract the participation of 50 French companies and 200 firms from Vietnam and ASEAN countries.
 
Around 250 meetings for the two-side enterprises to discuss potential cooperation will be arranged.
 
The 8th ASEAN forum, to be held in Hanoi November 22-23, will concentrate on the ASEAN market involving in development opportunities, market access, labor, distribution and consumption networks, and necessary considerations for successful investment.
 
The forum has been jointly organized by the French Foreign Trade Advisors (CCEs), Medef International, Ubifrance, the French Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs and the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Employment.
 
As of late July, France had invested over US$2.56 billion into 183 projects, becoming the largest European investor of the list of top ten foreign investors in the country, according to state media.
 
The bilateral trade between Vietnam and France is expected to reach EUR1.7 billion this year, an on-year increase of 14.3 per cent. (Vietnam & World Economy)
