DHL Tops Industry In Supply Chain Security

Ho Chi Minh City, 12 Mar 2008: DHL, has set a new industry benchmark in its continuous drive to provide customers with superior security and service levels in end-to-end solutions. The Ho Chi Minh North Service Center serving Dong Nai and Binh Duong Industrial Zones has obtained the Transported Asset Protection Association (TAPA) Classification “A” certification.

 

TAPA is a highly sought-after industry security accreditation, which is awarded to facilities that meet the highest industry security standards when handling and storing high-value products. It is awarded after the successful completion of a rigorous and detailed assessment conducted by independent international auditors.

 

“We have made significant investments  in security equipment and processes for our North Service Centre in Ho Chi Minh City,” said Mr. Tim Baxter, General Director of DHL – VNPT Express Ltd. “This is the only air express facility in Vietnam to be certified with the Grade “A” conditions set by TAPA.”

DHL Express has invested more than US$3 million in the Ho Chi Minh North Service Center. The facility is equipped with a comprehensive suite of fire and security systems including Fire Suppression and Fire Detection Systems, Intruder Alarms, CCTV cameras, motion & beam detectors and a complete access control system.”
