Strengthening the Capacity of Vietnam's Competitive Authorities

On 29February 2008, the opening ceremony of the project “Strengthening the enforcing capacity of Vietnam’s competitive agencies” between the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Economy of the Swiss Confederation was held in Hanoi.

 

This project focuses on: improving the effectiveness of the legal system on competition, consumer protection and other related regulations; bettering institutional capacity and enforcement of the Law on Competition and of Vietnam’s competitive agencies; enhancing the local as well as international position of Vietnam’s competitive agencies and pushing healthy competition in the society to ensure consumers benefit; and enhancing community awareness of healthy competition and protecting their legitimate interests.
