Korean Firm Invests US$90 Mln to Make Sports Shoes in Vietnam

South Korea's Hwa Seung Group has set up its affiliate with the total investment of US$90 million to produce sports shoes in southern Dong Nai province, the Vietnam Economic Times reported Wednesday.
 
Hwa Seung Vina, based in Nhon Trach 1 Industrial Park, is currently employing 14,000 workers to make shoes bearing Adidas and Reebook brand names.
 
Recently, the foreign company has joined hands with southern Ba Ria-Vung Tau province-based Long Hung Joint Stock Company to expand production and business.
 
The cooperation is aimed to raise the company's output by 2-2.4 million pairs of shoes in the period 2008-2009. (Vietnam Economic Times)
