Free from anti-dumping tax

According to Vietnam Aquatic Products Processing and Export Association (VASEP). US Department of Commerce (DOC) has admitted its error in levying tax on three Vietnamese Tra fish exporters. DOC has decided to remove anti-dumping tax on three Vietnamese companies namely East Sea Seafoods Joint Venture Co. Ltd (ESS), Dong Thap QVD Foods Co., Ltd (QVD Food Co) and Viet An joint stock company (Anvifish Co. Ltd).

 

Earlier this year, DOC asked Anvifish Co. Ltd to pay a tax rate of 31.68 percent. After the company proving the error of DOC, the tax rate is removed. On American newspaper “Federal Inspection”, DOC also admitted the error after Anvifish sent petition to DOC.

 

As regard QVD Food Co, DOC levied a tax rate of 14.59 percent and removed it after finding no evidence of anti-dumping.
