Construction of a Rubber Industrial Park Starts

The Vietnam Rubber Industrial Group launched the construction of the Minh Hung III - Binh Long Rubber Industrial Park in Minh Hung commune, Chon Thanh district in Binh Phuoc province. The Park covers 291.52 hectares, of which 180 is reserved for the plants construction, 28 for services and 82.52 for other purposes. The project business duration is 50 years.

The total cost for construction of infrastructural facilities is put at VND 289 billion, to be divided into two phases. The park's eight shareholders are those that have sufficient financial capacity and experience.

Of these, the Binh Long Rubber Company has the majority stake. After the ground breaking ceremony, the DONGWHA group from the Republic of Korea signed a contract to lease land in the park to build a US$125 million wood production factory which has a capacity to produce 300,000 cubic metres of wood a year.
