Steel Ingot Import Further Plunges in November

Steel ingot import was reported to continue to drop in November to 25,000 tons valued at US$22 million, down 3,000 tons from October, marking the consecutive fourth month seeing a fall in imports of the product.
 
According to the General Statistics Office, Vietnam was estimated to import 2.11 million tons of steel ingots worth US$1.54 billion in the January-November period, up 11.8 per cent on-year in volume and 63.1 per cent in value.
 
As of late November, the Vietnam Steel Association reported around 700,000 tons of steel and steel ingots in stock, down 300,000 tons from September. (Youth)
