Vinacomin to Sell 40 Mln Tons of Coal in 2009

The Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group will sell between 36 million and 40 million tons of coal in 2009, the Vietnam News Agency-run Tin Tuc newspaper reported.
Of the total figure, between 15 million and 19 million tons will be exported and 21 million tons will be domestically sold.
In 2008, the group estimates to sell 35 million tons, down 15.5 per cent on-year, including 17.7 million tons for exports down 26.7 per cent on-year.
 
As of December 10 this year, rough 7 million tons of coal are in stock due to fall in domestic coal consumption as well as export volume, according to Vinacomin. (News)
