Vietnam-Czech 2008 Trade Rises 15 per cent to US$294 Mln

Bilateral trade between Vietnam and the Republic of Czech in 2008 reportedly increased by 15 per cent to US$294 million, said the Vietnam Trade Office in Czech.
 
Of the total, Vietnam exported US$260 million to the foreign country, an on-year growth of 37 per cent and spent US$34 million, down 49 per cent.
 
The country’s major exports of seafood, footwear, and woodwork products gained high growth rates of 142 per cent, 50 per cent and 49 per cent, respectively.
 
The office forecast that Vietnam’s total export value this year will hit US$330 million, up 27 per cent on-year. (Vietnam Economic Times)
