Vietnam Firm Starts Work on Hi-tech Steel Mill in CentralProvince
The Dai Dung Steel Structure Joint Stock Company – Central branch started building a 10,000-ton-hi-tech steel mill in central Quang Ngai province February 3.
The factory, covering an area of 19.7 hectares of land at the Dung Quat Economic Zone, has total investment of more than VND450 billion (US$26.62 million).
The steel plant is to produce pre-processed steel frames, mechanical engineering products, oil and gas steel pipes and steel structures for use in heavy industry and construction, meeting the demands of investors in Vietnam’s central provinces.
Once completed in late 2010, it will provide employment for around 1,200 people. (Investment, VNA)
