Vietnam to Exempt C/O Fees for Im-Ex Biz from Mar 1
Vietnamese importers and exporters will be exempted from Certificates of Origin (C/O) fees from March 1, according to the Prime Minister’s recent decision.
The move aims to help domestic businesses to boost exports amid the global economic downturn and facilitate them in completing export procedures to other nations and territories.
Currently, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) manages the C/O granting. The fee for each new C/O stands at VND50,000 and that for re-granting at VND10,000.
In November 2008, the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) officially launched E-certificate of origin issuing system (eCosys) at the national E-commerce portal (ECVN).
