Vietnam Medipharm 2009 to Opened in May 13

More than 200 leading Vietnamese and overseas companies will showcase their products at Vietnam Medipharm 2009, the country’s 16th international exhibition of medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, hospital facilities and rehabilitation programmes, scheduled for May 13-16 at Friendship Culture Palace in Vietnam capital city of Hanoi.

 

The Vietnam Medical Product Import-Export Joint Stock Co (Vimedimex) and the Vietnam Fair and Advertisement Co (Vietfair) will co-organize the event.

 

Tran Duc Long, Deputy Director of the Heath Ministry’s Legal Department, said that the exhibition will offer Vietnamese businesses the opportunity to access the world’s latest and most advanced medical equipment and pharmaceutical products.

 

A wide range of medical equipment and supplies including medicines, pharmaceuticals, diagnosis techniques and hospital interiors will be on display at the event.

 

A campaign to encourage people to donate blood and a seminar explaining the state of the pharmaceutical and medical equipment market in Vietnam as well as the country’s preferential policies to attract foreign investment to the health sector will also take place.

 

Visitors to the exhibition will be provided with free medical consultations and check-ups.
