India Probes Vietnam DVD Exports for Dumping
The Indian Directorate General of Anti-dumping (DGAD) has started dumping investigation into Recordable Digital Versatile Discs (DVDs) coded HS8523 imported from Vietnam, Thailand and Malaysia, said the Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) after receiving a report from India May 5.
Products to be probed include DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW, DVD+RW, and small DVD-R and DVD-RW.
Local businesses can send their opinions to the Self-defense General Department under the Indian Finance Ministry within 40 days with the deadline of Jun 13, noted the MoIT.
Since mid-March India has imposed anti-dumping taxes on three products originated from Vietnam, including yarns and fabrics, compact discs-recordable (CD-R) and compact bulbs.
In early Apr, India also decided to conduct a dumping investigation into hot rolled steel and steel sheet imported from Vietnam and other countries. (Labor)
