Vietnam Will Undertake Asean Presidency 2010 Well: PM Dung
Vietnam is taking necessary preparations in order to assume the Asean Presidency next year, which will greatly contribute to Asean’s development and the bloc’s effective cooperation with its partners, Prime Minster Nguyen Tan Dung has said.
The Vietnamese leader made his speech to celebrate the 42nd anniversary of ASEAN [August 8].
“Vietnam has pledged to engage in proactive and responsible cooperation within ASEAN to boost the strength and solidarity of the regional grouping,” PM Dung affirmed.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Pham Gia Khiem also gave a reception for ASEAN ambassadors, charges d'affaires and chiefs of diplomatic missions on August 7 to mark the bloc’s 42nd founding anniversary. (chinhphu.vn)
