Vietnam Organizes Investment Seminar in Russia

The Vietnamese Ministry of Planning and Investment (MoPI) held a seminar titled “Vietnam-Investment Potentials and Opportunities” in Moscow on January 19 to introduce investment opportunities.
 
Addressing the event, the MoFI’s Deputy Minister Cao Viet Sinh boasted Vietnam’s potentials and call on partners to invest into his country.
 
He also specified aspects that Russian businesses will invest into Vietnam including tractor manufacturing, energy and real estate.
 
During the event, Russian Chamber of Industry and Commerce Gheorgy Petrov expressed his hope to boost investment and trade ties with the Southeast Asian country.
 
The two-way trade reached $1.7 billion in 2009, up 4% from a year earlier.
 
As of end-December, Russia had 66 valid projects worth $772 million in Vietnam, ranking the 22nd of 89 countries and territories investing in the country. (VNA)
