Vietnam PM Oks Development Plan of Northern EZ by 2030
The Vietnamese prime minister has approved a plan to develop Dong Dang Border Gate Economic Zone (EZ) in the northern province of Lang Son from now to 2030.
Under the plan, the zone will cover an area of 39,400 hectares and include a 1,350-hectare non-tariff area, a tariff area, preservation area, security areas and other facilities.
Dong Dang, located on Nanning-Lang Son-Hanoi-Hanoi-Haiphong economic corridor, is expected to be a momentum for the economic development of the north eastern region of Vietnam.
Vietnam now has 13 economic zones, mostly located in the central region. The country targets to raise the zone number to 30 by 2020. (Investment)
