Japan Remains Vietnam Top Buyer of Machinery, Equipment in H1

Japan remained Vietnam’s biggest buyer of machinery, equipment and spare parts with import value of $399.45 million in the first half of this year, soaring 53.77% from a year earlier.
 
The U.S. ranked the second with $129.16 million, up 21.57% on-year, the Ministry of Industry and Trade said.
 
China, Hong Kong and South Korea followed with respective figures of $108.41 million, up 123.06%, $89.79 million, up 82.33% and $47.03 million, up 147.13%.
 
Vietnam fetched $1.38 billion on exports of machinery, equipment and spare parts during the period, up 65.97% on-year. (Vinanet)
