Vietnam Lilama 10 Installs Rotor for Turbine 2 of Serepok 3 Power Plant
Lilama 10 Joint Stock Company, an affiliate of the Vietnam Machinery Erection Corporation, installed a rotor weighing over 400 tons at turbine 2 of the Serepok 3 hydropower plant in the central highlands province of Dak Nong on Aug 15.
Lilama 10 expects to connect the turbine 2 of the 220-MW plant to the national power grid by end September.
Truong Son Construction Corp, the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractor of the project totaling VND4.5 trillion ($235.6 million), start building the two-turbine plant in Cu Jut district in late 2005.
Turbine 1 of the plant has operated for 40 days at its full capacity of 110 MW and has generate 114 million kWh of electricity, equal to revenues of over VND110 billion.
The plant is capable to contribute 1.06 billion kWh of power a year to the national electricity grid. (VNA)
