Vietnam State Budget Deficit Likely at VND39.9T by Mid-August

Vietnam’s state budget deficit is estimated at VND39.9 trillion by mid-Aug, equal to 12.7% of the country’s total budget revenues in the period, the Ministry of Planning and Investment said.
 
The state budget revenues were VND313.5 trillion in the period while the expenditures were VND353.4 trillion, fulfilling 67.9% and 60.7% of the full-year estimate, respectively.
 
The ministry said that revenues from domestic taxes were VND195.5 trillion and those from crude oil reached VND38.6 trillion. The revenues from import and export activities were reported at VND76 trillion.
 
Of the state budget expenses, total investments for development projects accounted for VND78.9 trillion, national defense and security and socioeconomic activities made up VND228 trillion and foreign loans payments represented VND46.3 trillion.
 
In 2010, Vietnam’s state budget deficit is forecast at VND119.7 trillion, or 6.2% of the country’s GDP. (stockBiz)
