Metalex Vietnam 2010, the large-scale exhibition of machinery, equipment, metalworking technologies, and manufacturing solutions for Vietnam’s industry, officially opened on October 7-9, 2010 at Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center in Ho Chi Minh City.

Metalex Vietnam 2010 is also combined with the 4th supporting industry exhibition organized by JETRO and Ho Chi Minh City’s Investment and Trade Promotion Center. The combination has created a comprehensive exhibition of metalworking and supporting industries. The event gathers more than 500 global brands from 25 countries and territories, and introduces new initiatives to more than 7,000 industrialists in Vietnam.

Metalex Vietnam 2010 is considered a marketplace of the manufacturing community, opens doors for Vietnamese industrialists to network with Japanese businesses, and help Vietnamese SMEs enhance their competitiveness for Japan's investment expansion.

Duangdei Yuaikwamdee, Vice Managing Director of Reed Tradex, the exhibition’s organizer, said: “Metalex Vietnam will connect and attract Vietnamese industrialists because of the importance of using technologies to gain higher production capacity as well as larger marketshares in foreign markets. Metalex Vietnam will be an important factor for increasing both foreign investment and domestic investment. The participation of JETRO in Metalex Vietnam 2010 plays an important role in supporting the development of Vietnam’s industrial sector.”

On the sideline of the exhibition, there are seminars such as “Experience in working and making transactions with Japanese companies,” “Introduction of JICA project for Vietnam’s development of supporting industries,” “Success stories of Vietnamese and Thai companies when selling products to Japanese companies,” and others.
