Vietnam Deputy PM Nhan to Attend WEF 2011 in Switzerland
Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan will attend the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting 2011 in Switzerland’s Geneva on Jan 26-30.
The 41st WEF with theme of Shared Norms for the New Reality, is expected to attract participation of 2,500 leaders from economic, scientific and government leaders from 100 countries.
The annual meeting will focus on considering impacts of the global economic downturn, defining facts and discussing common norms on the global cooperation, President of the WEF Klaus Schwab said.
The event is an international summit considering challenges and making proposals for action programs of G20, Schwab noted.
The WEF 2011 is expected to help countries worldwide cope with the global economic threatens and build strategies to limit risks and seize chances for economic development, Switzerland’s experts said.
For more than four decades, the annual meeting has provided leaders from industry, government, academia, civil society and the media with an unrivalled platform to shape the global agenda and catalyze solutions at the start of each year. (Vietnamplus)
