Quy Nhon - a young fast-growing city - is becoming a preferred destination for domestic and international investors thanks to its unique advantages and strengths.
A “red address” for investors
It is natural that many companies and investors choose Quy Nhon City to do business because, apart from its distinctive good foundations that not all localities have, the city also offers attractive incentives to investors. Quy Nhon scored more marks in the eyes of investors as it was upgraded to the first-grade urban zone of Binh Dinh province by the Prime Minister in 2010. The face of an industrial, service and seaport city is getting clearer. The many industrial, tourist, commercial, and social security projects are rapidly lifting the face of this modern city.

Many roads have been upgraded, expanded or newly built; green areas, lighting systems and environmental sanitation are upgraded.

Tourism potential yet to be discovered
Mr Thai Ngoc Bich, Chairman of Quy Nhon City People's Committee, said: Tourism is one of many potential areas in Quy Nhon City that need investment capital to be developed. With its special position and many famously beautiful beaches like Quy Nhon, Ghenh Rang, Quy Hoa, Cu Lao Xanh, Hai Giang, Nhon Ly, Eo Gio, and specially Phuong Mai - Nui Ba - Dam Thi Nai peninsula, Quy Nhon City is branded to hold a "gold mine" of Binh Dinh province’s tourism sector.

Offering not only landscapes and beautiful beaches, the city also has a lot of coastal islands, gulfs, lagoons, coral reefs, estuaries, sand dunes, mangroves, coral reefs and very diverse underwater systems. In sea tourism development, coastal items not only increase the beauty of landscapes and the attractiveness of beaches, but are also organised for tourist activities like swimming, diving, sand-boarding, kite flying, water sports and fishing.
In addition, seafood in Quy Nhon is famous for its deliciousness and high nutrition. Quy Nhon - Binh Dinh is well-known for its traditional martial arts, associated with the names of many national heroes, legends, heritages and relics.
Another advantage for Quy Nhon tourism industry is the relatively convenient and uninterrupted traffic system. Quy Nhon Port is capable of supporting large cruise ships. In the past time, the port has welcomed many cruise ships with thousands of international tourists to visit places of interest, historical relics and famous landscapes in Quy Nhon City and Binh Dinh Province in general.
Mr Bich said, in recent years, the province has built more roads like Quy Nhon - Song Cau and Quy Nhon - Nhon Hoi to support socioeconomic development, particularly tourism. The province is beautifying the urban face of Quy Nhon City to make it a centre for sea tourism. Xuan Dieu Road has opened Quy Nhon to the sea. Now, a variety of luxury resorts and hotels have been put into operation such as Life Resort (Bai Dai), Hoang Anh - Quy Nhon Resort, Saigon - QuyNhon Hotel.
With the current growth pace in combination with sound policies from authorities and the determination of the people, Quy Nhon City is sure to become one of 12 big cities of the country in the 2011 - 2015 period and become a centre of industry, commerce, service and tourism in the near future.
