Hanoi Attracts US$875.1 Million of FDI in First Two Quarters

Nearly 140 FDI projects were licensed in Hanoi in the first six months of 2011, valued at US$875.1 million, reported the Hanoi Statistics Office.
 
The amount of new FDI capital saw a more than six-fold increase compared to the figure of US$130 million of the same period last year. Among the 140 projects, the number of newly licensed projects was 107, with a registered capital of US$414.4 million, while 33 projects had an increased capital worth US$460.7 million.
 
Over the past six months, investment and development capital in the city reached more than VND 77.1 trillion, a year-on-year rise of 12.6 percent. Of this, State capital increased by 11.7 percent while non-State capital saw a 14.4 percent rise and FDI capital was up 5 percent.
