SUZUKI Builds new factory

 

On July 21, 2004, Suzuki company held the opening ceremony for a new factory covering an area of 14 hectares in Long Binh industrial zone (Dong Nai) with an investment capital of over 2.1 billion yen (US$20 million).

 

Attending the ceremony were Mr. Osamu Suzuki, Chairman and Executive Director of the Suzuki Group, Mr. Kazunori Teraoka, Executive Director of the Sojitz Group, Mr. Nguyen Van Vu, Director of the Southern Agricultural Machinery Company (VIKYNO), Mr. Vo Van Mot, Chairman of Dong Nam People’s Committee and other guests.

 

The factory will have a production capacity of 100,000 motorbikes and 10,000 automobiles a year. The quality of the Suzuki trademark is guaranteed by ISO 9001:2000 granted in July 2003. The new factory demonstrates the commitment to the long-standing cooperation between Suzuki and Vietnam.
