Kicoimex Prestige Affirmed by High-quality Products

Tac Cau Sea-products Joint Stock Company (Kicoimex) has affirmed its prestige with a range of export contracts signed with big markets such as South Korea, Singapore, China, France, the US, Spain and Russia.
 
Set up in June 2008, Kicoimex mainly operates in aquatic material purchase and production of surimi (frozen fish paste) for both local consumption and export. The company is located at the centre of aquatic material area in Kien Giang Province with traffic convenience, which helps facilitate and save costs for the purchase and transport of materials as well as finished products. Thanks to a suitable material purchase policy and underwriting, the company has built a close relationship with farmers in Kien Giang and neighbouring localities to buy aquatic materials, ensuring its production activities.
 
Considering quality as top priority, Kicoimex has paid attention to product quality improvement and applied international standards from material selection to finished products. The company has also expanded production facilities and renovated equipment to increase processing capacity and diversity and improve product quality, aiming to meet higher demand of different customers. The company’s products have been exported to many demanding markets such as the EU, Japan and South Korea. In 2010, it reached a seafood output of 4.28 million tonnes, obtaining revenue of over VND156 billion. In the first ten months of this year, the company achieved an output of 3.89 million tonnes of aquatic products, bringing in revenue of VND170 billion. Kicoimex’s achievements not only help contribute to provincial trade turnover, but also generate jobs for locals.
 
Sharing the secret to its success, Kicoimex Director Le Du Lich said, “Making high-quality products requires much effort and financial resources. Our success is thanks to the solidarity and determination of leaders and more than 250 staff. We always try to satisfy the legitimate need of customers, therefore, they trust our products.”
 
Besides concentrating on business activities, the firm has also fulfilled its social responsibility. It ensures all rights of labourers through health and social insurance and often holds cultural and sports activities for the staffs. Kicoimex has paid special attention to social security and considers it an important part of its operation process.
To raise the production capacity and export of high value-added products to supermarkets in big markets, Kicoimex will continue investing in machinery, equipment and advanced technology along with human resource development for its long-term business strategy.
