Gov’t Extends Foreign-funded Project
The Vietnamese Government has agreed to extend the implementation time for the Project on improving market efficiency for the poor to June 30, 2012.
The project is co-funded by the Asian Development Bank and UK’s Department for International Development.
The Ministry of Planning and Investment was assigned to closely coordinate with the donors to fully achieve the preset targets of the project.
The objective of the project is to work out a rural development strategy based on the participation of the poor in value chains.
