Power Supply Expected to Attain Double-Digit Growth in 2012

Việt Nam’s power supply is expected to expand at 11% in 2012 thanks to the official launch of 24 power plants with total designed capacity of 3,077 MW.
 
The news was released by the Ministry of Industry and Trade on December 27.
 
It is estimated that the country’s total power output (including power import) will reach 120.795 billion kWh, an increase of 10.89% against 2011.
 
Of the figure, power imported from China is projected at 4.65 billion kWh, accounting for 3.85%.
