Work Begins on Thuan Thanh III Industrial Park
The Trung Quy Investment Joint Stock Company held a ground-breaking ceremony yesterday for the Thuan Thanh III Urban and Industrial Park in the northern province of Bac Ninh.
The VND1.5 trillion (US$72 million) industrial park covers 370 hectares in Gia Dong commune, Thuan Thanh district.
It is expected to create thousands of jobs for local residents and make Bac Ninh province an attractive destination for both local and foreign investors.
Producers of electronic and home appliances, processed foods and garment are encouraged to invest in the new industrial park.
Director of the Trung Quy Company, Nguyen Van Quy, said the company will focus its resources to complete the project and make it ready to welcome investors, on schedule.
Before the Thuan Thanh III project, the Trung Quy Company had invested in industrial parks and urban areas in other provinces including Binh Duong, Thua Thien-Hue and Long An. The company is also looking to expand its operations in Laos and Myanmar in the near future.
