HCM City to Host Tourism Festival

Mr Nguyen Thanh Rum, Director of Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Ho Chi Minh City, said the municipal government had approved the plan for organising the 8^th Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Festival from April 12 to 15, 2012 at Park 23-9, District 1.

 

The festival will have 150 booths in the tourism area and 20 booths in the gastronomy area in addition to sections for displaying and introducing tourism products and services.

 

According to organisers, the event is an opportunity to introduce and sell new, attractive tourism products and services to stimulate travel demand in HCM City. This concurs with the Japan Sakura Festival to be held in the city too. The festival will also conclude many other events, including tourism company-honouring ceremony, arts performances and photo exhibitions.

 

Travel, tourism service companies and airlines will launch interesting promotions and discounts for 2012, etc.
