Over VND59 Trillion Invested in Phu Quoc

The Phu Quoc Island Management Board for Development Investment (Kien Giang province) said the largest island of Vietnam allowed two projects to increase investment capital and licensed six new projects with a total investment capital of VND1,497 billion from the beginning of this year, bringing the total investment projects to 87 and investment capital to more than VND59 trillion. Most projects are involved in tourism development, residence and urbanisation.
 
In addition, Phu Quoc also received five projects asking for investment on a total area of 16.52 hectares in Ba Keo - Cua Lap, Suoi Lon and Bai Truong areas. The island authority licenced 24 new enterprises with a total investment capital of over VND102 billion. Phu Quoc now has 1,193 companies, 187 branches, and 41 representative offices with an aggregate investment capital of VND22 trillion.
