Swing for the Kids 2012 Closes Successfully

Swing for the Kids 2012 - the sixth annual charity golf tournament - successfully closed on May 12, 2012 in Phoenix Golf Course (Luong Son district, Hoa Binh province). The event was jointly organised by the Vietnam Investment Review Newspaper (VIR) and the Foreign Investment Agency (FIA).

 

The tournament was competed by 140 golfers, who were leaders, diplomats, representatives of international organisations, domestic and foreign golfers.

 

At the awarding ceremony, the Organising Board announced the event raised VND1.2 billion this year, totalling VND5.5 billion in the past six years. This money will be granted to poor students with outperforming study results by VIR and the Vietnam Study Encouragement Fund in collaboration with main sponsors.

 

At the ceremony, the organisers decided to allocate VND500 million to the Vietnam Study Encouragement Fund. The remainder will be handed to pupils by VIR and sponsors later.
