Young Business Talent Competition Ends
The Competition of Young Business Talents concluded on the evening of September 9 at Hanoi Opera House. Ten candidates passed three rounds of exams in TOEFL, GMAT, and IQ: business expertise (Round 1), essays and interviews (Round 2), and creation and presentation of a business plan in July and August.
The final competition includes collective games (Fierce Market Competition, Collective Strength) and individual games (Electronic Brain, Excellent Leader) to evaluate the reflex, reaction, solution, team work, presentation, leadership and decision making skills of competitors. The candidates have brilliantly proven their talent, intelligence and creativeness creating a great atmosphere and arousing the interest of audiences.
Five candidates each winning a Gold Prize worth US$4,980 in scholarship and cash were: Bui Thi Thuy Nhi (Da Nang Economics College), Do Lan Huong, Doan Thi Huong Giang, Nguyen Thi Dieu Thuy and Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao (Hanoi Foreign Trade College). Five candidates also won a Silver Prize worth US$2,490 in scholarship and cash. In addition, 10 Bronze Prizes each worth US$1,494 in scholarship and cash were granted to 10 outstanding candidates who could not enter the finale.
This year the competition was organised nation-wide for the first time with the participation of 531 candidates. It is one of the five programmes that the Prime Minister asked the Vietnam Young Entrepreneurs Association to organise in preparation for international economic integration. The programme will be organised every year with increasing scale to discover and promote business talents. According to experts, the programme is most useful in the discovery and promotion of young talents for business and economic development.
