Joint venture for a 35-storey building

 

On September 17, 2004, Ben Thanh Tourist, Vietcombank and Bonday (Hong Kong) signed and established Vietcombank-Bonday-Ban Thanh Co. Ltd, a joint venture company for 49 years. The total investment is US$55 million, with legal capital of US$17.6 million comprising 30 per cent foreign partner capital.

 

The joint venture will construct a 35-storey building with a space of 77,000 sq. metres, on an area of 3,232 sq. metres at N. 5 Me Linh square, District 1, HCM City. The building will house the head office of Vietcombank, HCM City, offices, shops and underground parking. The building will be a cylindrical shape, of international standard with modern equipment, offering an ideal working environment and adding to the eye-catching architecture of the city.

 

Bonday started investing in Vietnam 14 years ago and has been very successful with its high-rise building Harbour View (Nguyen Hue avenue, District 1, HCM City) currently renting office space at US$23 per sq. metre a month.
