Vietnam’s Overseas Investment Reaches US$15 Bln

Viet Nam licensed 66 investment projects with the total registered capital of over US$1.2 billion in the first 9 months of this year, raising the total to 736 projects worth of US$15 billion, according to the Ministry of Planning and Investment.
 
Of the 66 projects, 14 fall in agriculture and forestry, 11 in retail, wholesale and repair, 8 in processing and manufacturing industries, and 8 in mining.
 
From January to September, the Ministry approved an additional capital of US$ 95.1 million of 9 operational investment projects abroad.
 
Of the 736 Vietnamese-invested projects, 221 valuing nearly US$ 3.8 billion have been implemented in Laos, 123 of nearly US$2.6 billion in Cambodia, and 92 of US$305.7 million in the US.
