Cultural Day of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups 2013

The Cultural Day of Vietnamese Ethnic Groups 2013 is set to take place in Gia Lai province from April 19 - 21, 2013 with the participation of all 54 ethnic groups in the country. This aims to honour cultural values of 54 Vietnamese peoples and promote unity and exchange among the peoples.

 

Diverse activities will be held during the event, including a seminar on the great solidarity among ethnic minority groups to make the strength of Vietnam in 67 years of implementing Uncle Ho’s letter to the Congress of Southern Ethnic Groups; mass arts performances; traditional costume shows; exhibition on ethnic cultures; and performances of Vietnamese intangible cultural heritages recognised by UNESCO.

 

This celebratory event commemorates the reception of Uncle Ho’s letter to the Congress of Southern Ethnic Groups 67 years ago (April 19, 1946 - 2013) and five years of organising Cultural Day for Southern Ethnic Groups.
