VietJetAir Launches Route to Phu Quoc with A320 Aircraft

VietJetAir, on December 15, launched its 9th domestic route linking Ho Chi Minh City with Vietnam’s holiday paradise Phu Quoc. The carrier made a milestone as it is now the first airline operating A320 aircraft on the route.
 
The Ho Chi Minh City – Phu Quoc route initially will operate one round trip a day with 180 leather-covered seats. The 50 minute flight will depart from Ho Chi Minh City at 7:15am and arrive in Phu Quoc at 8:05am. The return flight will depart at 8:40am.
 
VietJetAir now has nine domestic routes on a network that links Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Nha Trang, Danang, Vinh and Hai Phong, Hue, Dalat and Phu Quoc. Its first international route from Ho Chi Minh City to Bangkok will be in service on February 10, 2012. More international routes linking the country’s largest cities of Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi to major destinations in Southeast Asia and Northeast Asia will be launched in 2013.
