Industrial, Economic Zones Attract over US$110 Billion

The Steering Committee on the Development of Economic Zones and Industrial Parks said by the end of June, industrial parks nationwide had attracted 4,665 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects totalled US$70 billion while coastal and border economic zones lured US$40 billion and US$700 million respectively.

 

In the first six months of 2013, economic zones and industrial parks attracted US$7.9 billion of FDI capital and over VND14,992 billion of domestic direct investment, bringing the total investment capital to over VND900 trillion and over 6,000 projects.
