VCCI President Re-elected Co-chair of Vietnam Business Forum

At the meeting of the Management Board of Vietnam Business Forum (VBF) Consortium on February 19, Dr Vu Tien Loc, President of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), was re-elected the co-chair of the Vietnam Business Forum.

 

Ms Virginia Foote, representative from the US Chamber of Commerce in Vietnam (AmCham), was also named VBF Co-chair.

 

Transferred from the World Bank and IFC two years ago, VBF - under the leadership and administration of VCCI and other chambers of commerce like EuroCham, AmCham, KorCham and Japan Business Association - has really flourished and confirmed its role as an important dialogue forum for the Government and domestic and international business communities.

 

Last year, VBF established new working groups, including the Customs Working Group, the Governance and Transparency Working Group, and the Agriculture Working Group. In 2014, VBF will add a mid-term meeting in Ho Chi Minh City for the southern business community.
