Muong Thanh Valley is well known for the historic and glorious Dien Bien Phu victory. Founder Le Thanh Than named his company “Muong Thanh” as a an expression of appreciation for this land.
For nearly 20 years, the Muong Thanh brand has gone beyond the Northwest area.
Starting from a small enterprise in Dien Bien, Muong Thanh has now developed into the largest private hotel chain in Vietnam with over 30 hotels and hotel projects across the nation.

Muong Thanh Tet celebrated in 19 Muong Thanh hotels in 16 provinces and cities last March received much support from many employees, partners and customers. The strong development of Muong Thanh has brought incomes for enterprises and contributed to the regional economic growth. With the first and the only 4-star hotel in Dien Bien, Muong Thanh has created many jobs for local people, changed the city's appearance, attracted investment as a premise for the stronger and stronger development of the city. The other 29 Muong Thanh hotels in other provinces and cities have also contributed significantly to the local economy.
“Remember the source” is a fine philosophy of Muong Thanh people, which also is a top motto of the Corporation. Muong Thanh Humanitarian Fund was officially opened on September 2nd 2013 on occasion of launching Muong Thanh Da Nang hotel, and contributed billions of VND, gifts and valued items to the community. Most recently, the fund contributed a grant of VND900 million to the Vietnam Red Cross Society, in which a VND300 million grant is for Dien Bien province.
Most recently on May 7th 2014, on the 60th celebration of Dien Bien Phu victory, Muong Thanh Hospitality Corporation supported Mr Trinh Van Huyen, a former Dien Bien combatant, with the re-roofing of his house and donated to him a 32 inch- LCD television.
