Leading Exhibition Organizer Sets Long-term Strategy to Promote Vietnam’s Supporting Industries

Vietnam Manufacturing Expo (VME) and the Supporting Industries Exhibition (SIE) have been well recognized by both Vietnamese and international industrialists for many years. It is the first time that we are joined by the India Pavilion and the industrialists in Hanoi will get to see technologies from India. For the 6^th SIE 2015 in Hanoi, about 50 Japanese exhibitors will display accessories they expect to “purchase” in Vietnam and 50 Vietnamese exhibitors will show their products they want to “sell” to potential buyers. SIE 2015 will be co-organized by JETRO Hanoi (Japan External Trade Organization) and VIETRADE (Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency). This exhibition will facilitate and shorten the procurement processes of industrial parts and components for automobiles, motorbikes, electric-electronics, metal and plastic outwork, packaging materials as Japanese exhibitors will display accessories they expect to localize in Vietnam.

These two specialized exhibitions organized together at the same time will certainly create a force for Vietnam’s supporting industries. The combination of both Expos will create an all-under-one-roof meeting centre for the manufacturing community. Buyers and sellers would meet, exchange knowledge and ideas, discover technologies, and develop their business networks. This opens doors wide for Vietnamese makers to network with Japanese industrialists for machinery import and industrial production, and to urge Vietnamese small-to-medium enterprises to develop higher competitiveness to prepare for receiving Japan’s investment expansion.

 

Apart from mould making, a significant growth in plastic injection industry will be a major contributor for supporting industries such as automotive and electronic parts, packaging, and parts manufacturing. This can be deemed as a huge advantage since supporting industries in Vietnam already posses quality workforces and technologies, while the Vietnamese government now aims to reduce imports of plastic parts. In this regard, VME will answer to these calls by promoting competitiveness in terms of cost reduction and optimizing productivity with new knowledge along with advanced technologies and innovations.

According to Mr Kittidet Thongkham, Director of CHS-Asia Co., Ltd which offered a wide range of anti-oxidization and metal working lubricants at the edition 2014, through the three-day event, they considered the show a precious opportunity for their business and obtained lots of achievements with about 100 customers on the first day and approximately 60-70 on the next day.
