CPI in HN Slightly Decreases in September

 Ha Noi’s Consumer Price Index (CPI) in September decreased 0.1 percent against August and up 0.34 percent compared to the same period last year, according to the city’s Statistics Office.

The education group witnessed the highest increase in price in comparison with other commodities with 1.39 percent. The prices of restaurants and food service group also rose 0.13 percent.

Commodities experiencing price decreases were housing, electricity, water, fuel and building materials thanks to the reduction in the price of petrol.

The transport group sharply lessened 3.28 percent.

The gold and US$ prices put up 3.36 percent and 2.77 percent compared to the previous month.

The city’s CPI in nine months witnessed a year-on-year increase of 0.71 percent.

Ha Noi’s Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) in nine months increased 8.3 percent against the same period last year, higher than the same period of 2013 (up 7.88 percent) and 2014 (7.9 percent).
