Transport Hospital IPO: Average Bidding Price is VND23,597 Per Share
Transport Hospital successfully sold 4.952 million shares at an average price of VND23,597 per share at an initial public offering (IPO), grossing more than VND116.8 billion. The average winning price was 2.3 times higher than the starting price.
According to an official announcement from the Hanoi Stock Exchange (HNX), which hosted the IPO, 4.952 million shares of Central Transport Hospital were put up for auction at a starting price of VND10,000 per share on October 21. As many as 33 institutions and individuals registered to purchase 11,703,100 shares, 2.37 folds higher than the number of shares offered.
The highest bid price was VND26,000 per share and the lowest bid price was VND17,200 per share. Two investors won the bid with an average winning price of VND23,597 per share. Thus, the proceeds valued over VND116.8 billion.
Central Transport Hospital is the first State-owned public hospital to go public, as directed by the Government. According to equitisation plan approved, the State holds 30 per cent of stake, or 5.04 million shares, 10.52 per cent of stake is offered to employees at preferential prices, and 29.48 per cent, or 4.952 million shares, was put up for public auction.
Earlier, 30 per cent of stake, or 5.04 million shares, was sold to T&T Group Joint Stock Company, a strategic shareholder of the hospital.
After going public, the hospital will have a registered capital of VND168 billion. T&T Group Joint Stock Company is the only strategic partner of hospital.
