CPI in October Rises 0.11 Percent

Viet Nam’s consumer price index (CPI) saw an increase of 0.11 percent against September, equal to the same period last year, according to the General Statistic Office.

In comparison with December last year, the CPI only put up 0.51 percent. The average CPI over the recent ten months of the year rose 0.67 percent compared to the same period last year.

Among 11 commodities, seven groups witnessed increases in prices. The prices of garments, hats and footwear rose 0.2 percent while the medicine and health service prices slightly put up 0.01 percent.

The groups of telecommunications, housing and building materials, transport and culture, entertainment and tourism saw respective decreases in prices of 0.03 percent, 0.01 percent, 0.05 percent and 0.06 percent.

Ha Noi’s consumer price index (CPI) in October increased by 0.12 percent month-on-month, and 0.42 percent year-on-year, according to the Ha Noi Statistics Office.

Ho Chi Minh City’s consumer price index in October picked up 0.06 percent against the previous month and fell 0.9 percent year-on-year, according to the HCMC Statistics Office.
